I have a website receiving 10.000+ visits a day, so between 30-50k pages /day of dynamic content.
Do you think it is possible to handle this kind of website with your plan or it will be better to opt for a dedicated server ?
thanks

...I ran a Valve SDK community here that had more than that each day.
You may see slow reaction times of course but not consistently.
What will be cheaper and make more sense will be to have two sites.
One for the pages and content the other for downloads.
That's where I had some problems, large ZIP'd resources for 3D modelers.
Moving the large downloads solved that.
So considering the options, DASP or Dedicated it's a simple decision, even if you need to add additional file sites you are still paying each year what a dedicated server will cost each month.
Use my promo code "WISEMX" and you can start out with 6 months free.
So yes, my advice is go for it, DASP can handle it and you're saving big-time. ;-)
All the best,
Mark

It certainly doesn't require a dedicated server.
As Mark pointed out, it does depend on what you're serving up, of course. But those numbers on their own are not terribly large or taxing from the server perspective. It's less than a page per second on average.

This sounds relevant to my interest. Just 3D modeling or any other goodies? I'm just wondering, since I haven't touched their SDKs in a really long time.

...I have done any 3D modeling since I donated the SDK sites to that college in Canada.
I'd like to since it's still an enjoyable feat. ;-)
I was getting really good with Face Poser and XSI Softimage.
As you can see in this video those tools are really getting somewhere now:

I have another question: let's say I want to host 2 different websites with 2 different domain names. Is it possible to do so using just one plan ?
Thanks

You could use the domain pointer to add extra domain names to the account:
http://support.discountasp.net/KB/a131/domain-pointer-manager.aspx
Then you can use a redirect script like the one we provide in our KB to redirect to a subdirectory:
http://support.discountasp.net/KB/a369/how-to-redirect-a-subdomain-to-a-subdirectory.aspx
Or if you're in IIS7, there's the URL Rewrite Module which allows it to be a bit cleaner as you can remove the folder path from the URL.

Valve is always amazing at their SDKs, since they always like to allow users to fully mod all their products, which is something I like.... and allows those hilarious videos :D
