I'm thinking about moving my Foodie blog from Posterous: http://bakingwithmark.posterous.com/ To my DiscountASP.NET site which isn't really used for anything other than tests and the Contact page. I'm considering BlogEngine.net from the DASP App's in the Control Panel. Thoughts?
Blogengine, is quite honestly one of the easiest blogs I have ever had to set up, not to mention going through the files and code to give it that personal "Look at me with my fancy blog" feel. Works great on our servers to. Best of all customers can install it using the web app gallery (as you mentioned) in the control panel so no need to visit the blog engine site and no need to download any files.
...Yeah it is. Joe Stagner was using it but he switched to Wordpress. http://www.msjoe.com/ I'll probably go with BlogEngine, still undecided.
...Have any of you tested BlogEngine.NET on IIS7/.NET v4? I'm thinking of using the Deploy version from the IIS7 Manager since the DASP CP won't allow it to be installed on .NET v4, for good reason I'm sure. It appears DasBlog runs well on v4 and Oxite but I've got a few worries about using Oxite.
...After careful consideration I'm going to keep the foodie blog on Posterous. This way I can still do Webcasts as requested on msftwise.com
