I have a timesheet webapplication, build with classic asp (not hosted on discountAsp.net). The database is SQL server. Every now and then (even not weekly), the application looses its permissions on SQL-server, meaning that the sql-server account used for this webapplication looses its permissions on the timesheet-database. We can't figure out why this happens. Anyone with a clue ?

What do you mean by loosing permission?
SQL permission or your web application's NTFS permission?
Any error?

the database permissions are checked of for the database on the "permissions" tab of the user accounts properties. It's very strange and inconvenient, cause we can't explain to the customer what is happening. An email is sent when it happens, so we can set the permissions again right away, but they get the error, which is not very nice.

This is very strange!!!
The only thing I can think of is that the database has some sort of maintainence plan or scheduled job that changed the permission.
I would check with the SQL server administrator.
BTW, how you like our new forum?

yep, it is very strange (almost lost all my hair) http://community.discountasp.net/emoticons/confused.gif
I'll get to the database administrator right away
The new forum is nice, but it will take some time to get used to the new look and feel. It seamsto be considerably faster as well.
