  1. I want to send something about 16000 members of my mailing list.
If I use smtp server installed on my computer and put my DASP domain in "From" field - is there some restrictions?

  2. I just recently answered a questions similar to yours in the following forum post, that you might want to take a look at.

  3. Sorry, but I didn't receive the answer. I understand, that I cannot send mass emails via you smtp servers. I just want to know:
    1. If I can use other smtp server and just use my domain name as "reply to" address.
    2. If I can do it from the code of my site hosted on your server.

  4. These are only our limitations if you were planning to send email messages through our servers. You can send your emails out of any server you choose, however if we receive any complaints of spamvertising we will have to take action which can start off as a warning and escalate to more severe actions depending on how bad the issue is.

We are pretty fair about these situations and give our customers enough slack to fix the issue before things get bad.

  5. I couldn't predict that I will need to write it.
You are not fair about these situations. And don't give a slack to fix the issue
One time tried to send email to my gmail account when users enter some page.
Accidentally some robot entered this page many times (I don't really understand what it was) and I received a lot of emails simultaneously.
Than I received my first warning.
    I removed that notification.
Next time I tried to send some newsletter to my users and did it too frequently (simply didn't payed the attention that there is not only restriction on emails number per day, but there is restriction on emails per hours).
Than I received my second warning.
    I fixed the issue.
A number of the days before while updating the code I returned my second bug by mistake.
    And THATS IT!
Without additional warnings, without dropping me a word my email account was quietly revoked.
Without any access. (Including reading already received emails - everthing was lost). And without noticing me about that.
Than I asked the support team I was answered:
There has been around 4-5 warnings sent to you about mass mailing, as well as a few suspension of email services in the past.
Those things simply didn't happen! I received only TWO warnings in the past. And my email account NEVER wasn't suspended before.
I don't understand what is the mess here, but I don't feel safe with you. I lost all the information in my inbox. Next day you will revoke the hole account due some my fault multiplied by your mess.
I don't want to abuse anything. But I believed that if there are some restriction you will help the customers to follow the rules. If there is restriction in sending emails per hour, why you server continues to send them after threshold is reached? Why are you so aggressive?

I would say that waiting until the third warning is the opposite of aggressive. There has to be a number, a line, a place where we stop warning and start suspending, otherwise we would just warn the same people forever and nothing would change.

Your email service is suspended. Nothing is lost, it's all there, you just can't get to it.

We suspend email in order to give the customer a chance to say, "Okay, I see the problem, I'll stop violating the policies," but so far I haven't seen anything from you suggesting that you're interested in doing that. Not here or in your helpdesk email. Which is where you should continue this, not here in a forum thread.
