TDE Request

Hi,

I would like to request that you consider supporting Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) for SQL Server 2008. In this day and age where DB security is so important, it only makes sense to offer this to your customers if it is possible to do so. I know that I would be willing to pay more to receive this capability.

Unfortunately, offering TDE would increase costs by a lot because it is only available with SQL Enterprise edition. Monthly licensing fees for Enterprise edition are over 100 times more than standard edition.
