Is there somewhere that ASP.NET does/could provide a status-board on how systems are performing. (as opposed to posts or emails)...
It would show the health of the systems -- if you know something is wrong (with email/web/ftp/etc.) this would show the current state ... and your standard response to fixing it. I would suspect this would save people a lot of time on both ends from having to ask you "what's up with email?" or "do you guys have a problem with x?" ... and your having to respond to same. If you know of general internet outages, you could show that as well so people don't immediately come ask if the problem is on "your end".
That said, what's up with email? It seems like it now takes forever to get a IMAP connection?
