can't write to database

Hello.
I have the WebMatrix 1.30Mb version with MSDE 1.0.0.0 and
IExpress Setup 1.0.3705.0 .NET Framework. Since I reinstalled my
XP Home OS I cannot write to the database. I can read to, and I
can also manually add data toa database table, but not programatically.
I've asked the ASP.NET forum and they don't know, at least in a form
that a beginner like me can understand. I've tried changing all the
permissions I could access, to no avail. I'm depressed !

My sincere apologies. I made two stupid errors -
one in the original program and another one in
the test program. All works OK now. Thanks, and
