We have added Advanced Intellect's aspNetMX component, an email address and mx record validator.
Unlike other email address verification components, this component does more than just check the format of an email address. The aspNetMX component determines the mail server that hosts the email address, and queries the server to verify that the email address is valid!
These features are invaluable when used in web applications, by reducing mistyped and invalid email addresses from being submitted. By verifying with the actual mail server you can also deter fraudulent activity by requiring a REAL email address! Best of all, aspNetMX is easy to implement and integrate into your existing web applications.
