CGI seems very slow....

Instead of creating an asp app for a feedback page on http://duanewilson.com , I took the easy way out and loaded the excellent (and free) Active Guestbook perl script. However, it seems to load very slowly. Is there perhaps some settings I ned to tweak to get a cgi/perl script to "work: faster?
