The error message I referred to above is:
Cannot save the file 'MasterPage.master' to the web server. 500 'PPORT 24,24,118,30,19,147': commandnot understood.
500 'LPRT 6,16,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,176,179,222,3,60,0,0,0,2,16,2 20': command not understood.

My site:
http://beta-154555.server1.dotnetsandbox.net/
responds fast through Internet Explorer. However, uploading changes to an item in the web project after hitting the save button is very slow - sometimes taking as long as 30 seconds. Other times, I get an error message giving an HTTP error number and description.

I've been using FTP theentire time. Sorry for the confusion. I shouldn't have used the term HTTP error message since that is not an HTTP error message.

you should be using FTP to upload, the server is not configured to allow HTTP upload

very weird.
Anyone else seeing latency or error?
could it be a network issue?

I'm having trouble uploading file/folders too (DotNetNuke type of website). Has anyone heard if there is a reason for the FTP being sooooooooooo slow. It keeps hanging on me on various file/folders. Also, I cannot even delete more than a few files at one time.

Are you talking about the production server or asp.net 2.0 beta server?

The production server. It does seem better tonight by the way. Last night - while having the othe issues, I ended up getting my files updated using a 3rd party ftp tool (instead of Internet Explorer) and all worked well.
Thanks.

Anyone know of a fix for this error:
'500 'PPORT 68,65,34,212,19,152': command not understood 500 'LPRT 6,16,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,72,120,61,9,24,245,42,7,2,11, 196': command not understood' ?
Thanks
