background application

im about to launch a small site.

inaddition to the site ,
i need to have an application in the background that need
to check some data.
what if the preferred way for it?

service,web form,console app. ?

DASP do not support background service of any type for performance and security reasons.

I doubt that you can find any shared hosting companies that will allow you to do this.
