I am trying to deploy my Web site from my local computer using DiscountASP.Net Knowledge Base Q100002 "How do I deploy a Visual Studio.Net web project from my local computer to your server ?"

Upload appeared to work OK. When I did it a second time I was told file already exist do I want to overwrite it I said Yes.

I believe I have done all steps but when I try to open the site http://www.InformedLotteryPicks.com in a web browser I get the following ERROR

Server Error in '/' Application.
-------------------------------------
Runtime Error

There is some other stuff that talks about Custom Error message but I do not think that is the problem !

You can try the site at http://www.InformedLotteryPicks.com to see the actual ERROR
This is my FIRST WEB site so don't hesitate to suggest the most obvious solutions.

Thanks in advance

The problem was there was a file name in the Global.aspx file that did not exist. The problem was created when I started a new project and after the new project was created I Renamed/Changed a file name to something more desciptive and did not catch all instances of the file name created by Visual Studio. The File name was, I believe, WebApplication1. Once I found it I changed it to the name I gave it and the web site worked.

This page was justmy "Hello World" page since this is my first Web Site. The next step will be Uploading the real site that I have been working on (local computer) for the last 6 Months and getting it to work in the real world. I will also have to Upload the MS SQL Data base. This is all a learning experiance for me.

I appreciate your help and so far have not been disappointed with discountasp.net support.

Thanks for your interest
