getting started

I am a new comer and have developed a web application using webmatrix. I have just signed on and do not know how to use the control panel or have any idea how to upload my page. I do not see ftp tool. Any suggestions on how to get started or where to go for some start up information?

you need to use the FTP tool installed on your computer to upload. If you do not have any, try use IE's builtin FTP.

Hi Lucy,


I'm a newbie,..but I think I can help. If your domain is called www.mystuff.com (http://www.mystuff.com), then you can use internet explorer to show the directory structure of your "webspace" by opening IE, and entering this at the address:


ftp://www.mystuff.com


This should display a login where you need to enter your username (mystuff) and your password. To move thing between your webspace and personal computer, just drag/drop/copy/delete you normally would.
