Help with e-mail setup please

I am new to this server and I am unable to setup my e-mail, I cannot get past the login page. Exactly what "Name" do I use? I have tried using my regular Hotmail account but I get the error message that this client is not configured on the webmail server. I tried using various combinations of something@mydomainname.com For "something" do I use my username for discountasp.net. What password do I use? As I haven't set up an e-mail account I haven't created a password yet? Or, have I?
I have read through the INFO:Using DiscountASP.net Web Mailand it would seem to indicate that I should use my name and password forHotmail but that doesn't work.
I am new to this, so please keep all your help simple and concise!

To use webmail, you need to first create an email address.
To create an email address, you log into the control panel at https://my.discountasp.net and use the email management tools. Create a Pop account and then you can use webmail.
