SMTP to local host

i dont know how to set the SMTP to local host?
any help would be appreciated

I really don,t know.
All I know that to send emails out to our users,
we were told to change the SMTP to local host.
I'm assuming that from our message I will have to
go through our FTP and find the page with that code.
and somehow change it.
I really don't know what I'm doing and any help would be appreciated.

it is very difficult for us to help you if you have no idea what you are using to send email. Did someone created the site for you?
