  1. Hi

    I have created my first web application using visual studio 2003 and am now ready to have it hosted with DiscountASP.net.

    I was just wondering if someone could point me in the right direction of procedures to follow when uploading the site. Currently all i have done is FTP everything to the htdocs folder, apart from the database.

    At present on my local machine the site runs fine using a MSDE database, reading the knowledge base says that migrating this to SQL server 2000 is a relatively simple task but as i have never done it before i'm not sure where to start. Can anyone help with this?

    I have purchased the addons of SQL server 2000 for my account but am wondering what the next step would be as i do not have SQL Server running on my local machine.

    Thanks for any help /emoticons/smile.gif

    Hi,</o:p>
    </o:p>
    I am working with MS SQL Server 2000 Database on the Discount Asp Server.</o:p>
    I am very happy with this server and database.</o:p>
    So, at first you have to contract a database.</o:p>
    After that you have to establish a connection to the database using the Server Explorer of the View item on menu bar on Visual Studio .Net 2003 IDE</o:p>
    And so on.</o:p>
    If you need, I will send you code snippets for working with database, tables, views, DataSets?</o:p>
    </o:p>
    Have a fun!</o:p>
