I had created a guestbook for my website, and it opens the email form rather than auto-creating the email. That's fine, but I don't like it, so I'm trying to find an alternate method.

Using an online tutorial, I found instructions to "telnet" into the cgi-bin. Well, since I don't want to tank my site, I thought I should refrain, not knowing what would come next.

Then,I found a method using javascript, but it's just listed as an option, with no demonstrative script. So, when I started reading here, I found that (a couple of) others are having trouble too.

What is the best/easiest way to set up a form with DiscountASP?

Thanks,

Regina G

You can't really email from javascript. windows machines have no telnet.

You'll probably want to search for "formmail asp.net" or something like that to find a ready to go form-to-email application.
