Query About Number Of Page Requests

I have the basic stats package and it says "Remember that each page hit can result in several server requests as the images for each page are loaded."

A graph is then drawn with the "Number of page requests". Does a figure of 1000 in this graph represent 1000 actual page loads and not100 page loadsif the page has 10 images on it?

I think this means 1000 page view (this should not include your image hits)
