1. How are you trying to copy (sync your local and remote copies) your site to DASP servers?

  2. From Visual Web Developer 2005 Express go to web site, then copy web site. Click connect. Select FTP site. Input values provided by DASP. Click open. Then (and here's where it fails) select the files and use the arrow buttons between the two panels to copy the files.

    Does that help?

    Thanks!

  3. Maybe I'm getting close to figuring this out. As I've snooped around the forum I've learned that I may need to create a new directory under the root directory of my DASP account. If this is the case I'm not sure what I'm to do with folders that came already installed e.g., bin, cgi-bin, stats, and database. Anyway the point is that these instrutions:

(NOTE: This tool for Advanced Developers.)
This tool allows you to create and remove web applications in subdirectories.

Use the directory tree to browse and select the specific subdirectory. When the specific subdirectory is listed under Current Path, you can click the button to Install Application or Remove Application.

For more information, please see Knowledge Base articles:
    KB Q10181 and KB Q10182.

    \bowcutorg00

    \bin

    \cgi-bin

    \stats

    \_database
    Current Path:
     \bowcutorg00

The root application cannot be disabled.

talk about "click the button" to install application. What button? I am assuming that if there were such a button it would let me create a new root directory to where I might be able to copy my web site files.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

  4. I've answered part of my own question. I can see that I need to select a sub-directory in order to see the "Install Application" button. I still don't know if I'm on the right track. Do I need to install an application in order to get my folders from my local machine to upload onto my site?

    Thanks

  6. I am trying to publish my first site (a modified version of the starter kit that comes with Visual Web Developer 2005 Express). When trying to sync my source web site on my machine to the remote web site I immediately get an error message that says that the "folder" can't be created on the remote site. What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks
    Steve
