What are email setting in web.config for CSK 2.0?

Hello.

I have the Club Starter Kit 2.0 running on discountASP.NET. I tried other isp's, but DASP was the only isp that i had zero problems withwhen installing the CSK.

I tested sending email from the website and get an error which is at the end of this post. I think it's because the email settings are not correct in the web.config. I need to know whatto put in these sections:

Do i need to sign up for an email account on DASP?

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

You may not have the Smtp service running locally on your machine or the machine where the project resides.As far as DASP servers are concerned,your web.config mail settings look fine,except you dont need to specify the credentials (password='clubpassword' userName='[email protected]') .

I'm not sure i understand what you are telling me.


How do i check if the SMTP server is running?
Also, should i remove (password="clubpassword" userName="[email protected]") ? Or will it hurt to just leave it?

Additionally, what do i use for all of the other "clubmail" settings?
