I have my family website hosted on discountasp.net. I would like to add a wiki engine to the website. I need photo galleries, wiki pages with graphics (including .pdf and .tif), lists, and also simple tables, and a calendar like table for birthdays & anniversaries.
From reading messages in the forum, I noticed that discountasp.net staff frequently test applications.
Have you tested any of the many 'free' or 'public domain' wiki engines such as
Mediawiki (http://c2.com/cgi/wiki?MediaWiki) ,
phpwiki,
dotnetwiki (http://www.codeplex.com/Wiki/View.aspx?ProjectName=dotnetWiki),
flexwiki (http://www.flexwiki.com/default.aspx/FlexWiki/FAQHostingAndConfiguring.html),
sushiwiki (http://sourceforge.net/projects/sushiwiki),
code project wiki (http://www.codeproject.com/asp/wiki.asp),
or
wiki.net (http://c2.com/cgi/wiki?WikiDotNet)
?
Can you recommend any wiki engines?
Do you know of, or have a, wiki 'Starter Kit'?
I noticed that one user has gotten the Screwturn wiki engine (see www.screwturn.eu) to work: http://community.discountasp.net/default.aspx?f=24&m=18036 However, discountasp.net staff has 'not tested this app' --
Can anyone recommend one wiki over another? Has anyone tested any wiki engines?
