Doesn't look like SmarterMail is mobile friendly at the moment. does anyone know of a good ASP.NET webmail I can use? Or some source code in C#, VB.NET to get me started. I figure for my needs at the moment I may need to build a custom page.
Any idears?

Do you mean accessing webmail from a mobile phone is problematic due to browser issues? Why not just use the mobile phones application via IMAP and SMTP?

There are many webmail applications available depending on if you want to invest any money.
This one looks pretty good

Alternatively, you can use one of those online webmail service.

jhansen here meant that the webmail interface doesn't really work w/ most mobile browser.
SmarterMail recommend user use the Sync feature.

What exactly do you mean by mobile friendly? I've tested the synchronization with standard POP3/IMAP client on PocketPC and found it working nicely, I've opened another thread specifically on this here (http://community.discountasp.net/default.aspx?f=32&m=19873)
Best regards,
