  1. When I try to FTP to my beta account using Microsoft Expression Web, I get the error "550 No such host is known."

I just setup this account. could it be that it takes awhile for the account to be setup before I can ftp to it?

    Thanks for any help!

  2. Unfortunately no...I don't think one is generated when I use this program?

  4. In Dreamweaver 2004 MX:

    1) From the Manage Sites dialog go to Advanced, Remote Info.

    2) Access= FTP
FTP Host = the information DASP gave you minus the HTTP.
    i.e. beta-100001.lhweb1.iis7betahosting.net

    3) Host Directory = Blank

    4) Login = The FTP Username DASP gave you.
    i.e. beta-100001.lhweb1.iis7betahosting.net|beta-100001

    5) Password = Your DASP IIS7 Password

    6) Make sure Use Secure FTP is NOT checked.

...Now click the Test button, if you enteredyour information correctlyDW should connect.
    All the best,

  5. My ftp address is beta-427872.lhweb3.iis7betahosting.net

I also tried using Dreamweaver mx 2004 and also can't connect w/ it. The Dreamweaver FTP log doesn't generate anything when I make the attempt.

And I tried VWD Express and it also failed.

  6. [IMG] Way to go Anna. Very glad it worked.

  7. Hooray, that worked! Thank you! I hadn't tried the full login or thought I had but apparently I didn't.

  8. Oh yeah, I did try the full username in Microsoft Expression Web but apparently it won't accept a username that contains a vertical bar | in it...so I had tried that in that program. But Dreamweaver has no problem w/ the vertical bar. thanks again.

OMG.. I can't believe that DW works and Expression doesn't!!! You would think products from the same company should work well together...
