E-mail down!

We have been experiencing e-mail problems since early afternoon (PST) and I can't get through to support because their e-mails are being bounced back as well. Can somebody PLEASE get through to the SysAdmin and find out what is going on and let me know at 503-345-2807?

Earlier today, at around 3:00 pm PST thru 4:00pm PST, our mail server experienced a configuration failure. During this time window, user may not be able to send or receive mail.

Our mail admin have resolved the issue and the mail server should be functioning normally now. We are looking into the root cause of the problem and will work on measures to avoid it from happening again.

We apologize for all the trouble caused.

All is well ... Tech Support hung in there and got an additional issue we were having resolved about 6:00 PM. I am [:D]

Maybe a back-up e-mail address for support (hosted on an external server) would be a good idea, since our troubles of this afternoon resulted in all our e-mails to support@discountasp.net being bounced back. Just a thought.

That is a great idea, I have a made a note for us to discuss the logistics for setting up a backup support email address. Thanks for the idea! [:)] When we get something in place I will make sure to announce it to everyone and here in the forum.
