Best forum to use with site

  1. Hi guys and gals,

I was wondering what direction to go with putting a forum with my site. I was going to try to do phpbb until I read a previous post and how much trouble they were having. I then decided to take a suggestion from someone and go with SMF. That seemed to be going well until I realized MSSQL is no longer offered at discountasp which didn't make sense until I noticed that the post is two years old.

Sooooo, any recommendations? I am currently using an 'outsourced' phpbb (phpbb.net i believe), but I'm incredibly anal and what my 'own' board that I control.

    Cheers

  2. The easiest to install and run with the best features for free is Snitz, by far.
You can run it with Access or SQL.
Only takes about an hour to upload the files and configure everything.
    http://forum.snitz.com/

Runs well in it's own folder, i.e.: /site/forums/
But it does run best if you create an application for that folder in your Control Panel.
You don't have to configure the application, just create one and you're done.
    Salute,
    Mark
