  1. Migration to SmarterMail happened today.

    In the email I was sent after it was completed, I was told to

    "- If you manage your own DNS, your MX records must be updated"

    And it listed

    MX = blurb
    POP service = XX.XX.XX.XXX
    IMAP service = XX.XX.XX.XXX
    SMTP service = XX.XX.XX.XXX

    I changed the POP, IMAP and SMTP with the IPs mentioned. I did this in the "A Record Manager" area of the Control Panel.

    We use Postini for our spam filtering and was told by them not to change any MX record...otherwise Postini would not filter (mail would therefore bypass the Postini servers).

    The Problems:

    1- Our email clients are still not getting any inbound email. We are, however, able to send email.

    2- When we check the webmail interface (through our browsers), we can see the email sitting in the inbox. So we know we're getting email, our clients are unable to download them.

    Any idea on why we're not getting email to our clients?

    Should I be ignoring the MX blurb because we use Postini?

    And, yup, I have opened a support ticket item.

    Thanks.

    Steve

    How long has it been since migration completed? Remember that DNS propagation can cause you problems for a while...
