Commerce Starter Kit

Okay bigtime newbie here. I'm wanting to look into selling stuff online here with discountasp I have seen that you offer this Commerce Starter Kit for free. Is this an end-to-end solution meaning will this create the online store, allow users to purchase products with their credit cards and do this with like SSL? Does it use SSL or something else? Is that secure part also free? How difficult is it to setup for a newbie? Will I need to use another service to verify credit cards such as Paypal? I know I asked several questions but I do appreciate any answers you can give me. If you do not recommend Commerce for me what would you recommend? This would be a very small store probably selling about 100 items.

Commerce Starter Kit is NOT a full blown solution if you want to do eCommerce.

Reasons

1) It doesn't have an interface to manage your inventory.
2) It doesn't have any credit card plugin.

MS just created it to demonstrate how to code in ASP.net. If you are good with ASP.net, you can probably use the starter kit as a good base and expand on its functionality.

Some of our customers are using this one, I have not looked at it personally.
