help on Sending Email

Hi Every one. I am working on a site that has links to most Forums. I wanted the users to be able to send emails to this forums from the same site how ever I am having a problem sending the email; well actualy after filling up all the needed information when you hit the send button it gives out sent message but the emails are notsent at all. please help me to resolve this issue.

What is the smtp server your web application. Make sure it is using 'localhost'.
