Salutations,
DiscountASP.NET is bringing us yet another SQL Server Admin tool. /emoticons/tongue.gif
For many DASP customers this will be a real life saver because you can now administrate your databases from a Web browser.

The new SQL Server Admin tool is created by a well known company, myLittleTools: http://www.mylittletools.net/en/welcome.aspx

Let?s take it for a spin?
1) Login with your accounts SQL Server authentication.
(This information can be found in the Control Panel for your site, once you have added a SQL Server add-on.)
2) Once you Select your SQL Server and enter your credentials you will be greeted with the main connection menu.
Tip: Keep this SQL Server info in a text file so you can quickly copy/paste the credentials into the Web form.
3) On the left side expand the explorer menu to show the tables for your database.
4) Click on any of your tables.
5) Now notice the icons above the main area on the right side of your screen. Hover over each of the icons and you will see their function.
Tip: Notice the Refresh icon at the very top, use this after each operation if you need to be assured what you see is indeed up to date.
6) Now click the icon on the right side under the table name, ?open table?.
7) Just look at that, we?re in edit mode now?How cool, right?
Also notice there are new icons, including the ability to export your data as XML, XLS or CSV. Sweet.
8) Something to keep in mind is everything in this tool will be a left-click, no right-click as this is not an ActiveX control but rather a very cool lightweight Admin tool running from your browser.
9) On the left menu click on ?Tools?. Notice the nice collection of admin tools; SQL queries, Generating scripts, Import wizard, etc.
10) Now click on ?Management?. Look at that, a history feature, ?Activity monitor?. Very nice.
I really like it and applaud DASP for providing this for us. . .How about you? /emoticons/wink.gif
