Hi,

I'm trying to cancel the SQL Server 2005 add-on but can't do so. This knowledge base page (http://support.discountasp.net/KB/a96/how-do-i-cancel-an-add-on-service.aspx) tells me what to do; however, the support portal (http://172.16.20.82/Main/frmNewTicket.aspx) doesn't work. /emoticons/confused.gif

Please help. I'd like to cancel the add-on as soon as possible. That way, I can move forward with implementing new code into my site.

Thanks

Eric

The support portal is functioning fine. If you have never used it before, then first log into your control panel at https://my.discountasp.net and navigate to the support section. On your first use, you have to authenticate via an email.

Hi Eric,

Sorry for not responding sooner. I've been busy.

I just logged into the control panel at the web address you provided. I even navigated to the support section and did the email authentication stuff. However, the same problem persists. Sending a help desk ticket takes too long (a network timeout error). Is there anything else I can do?

Just tried it again, and the network timeout error is still present. /emoticons/mad.gif

Any word on when this will be worked out? I'd like to get rid of an add-on before my next billing date. Hopefully, I won't have to cancel my account completely just to get what I want. /emoticons/sad.gif

If you are having trouble with the Support Portal then email the billing department directly at billing@discountasp.net but remember to include all your infomration - like domain, what addon..etc. You will need to authenticate the request.

Where did you get/see that link with the ip? The support portal is at https://support.discountasp.net

It's a shame that you don't make it easy to cancel a single add-on. On the other hand, you make it simple to add an add-on /emoticons/mad.gif . Every time I try that blasted support page (http://172.16.20.82/Main/frmNewTicket.aspx), I keep getting a network timeout error.

Canceling an account is much easier, which is what I've elected to do. I'll know next time to stay away from add-ons. /emoticons/sad.gif

If you read the very first post in this thread, you'd see where I got it from. I got it from a knowledge base page titled 'How do I cancel an add-on service?' Within this page is given a link where I'm supposed to send a support ticket. That's where that lame duck ip address is.

Sorry, the new helpdesk was in development on that IP for some time and I thought we had cleaned up all the IP based links, but apparently some slipped through the cracks.
