...using FTP or delete / overwrite it when publishing using Visual Studio 2008.
VS2008 throws this error when publishing:
Unable to add folder '-foldernamehere-' to the Web site. Server error: '-foldernamehere-' does not refer to a page or folder in this web. It may be a page or folder in a subweb, or it could be a badly formed URL.
I previously published a web application to this folder but removed it using your web application tool ( the folders remain ). I then logged in using FTP hoping delete the folders. I was able to delete the files, but when trying to delete the folder ( there's two, the root and a bin folder ), FTP throws error 550: The directory is no empty, but both the root folder and bin are empty.
I tried bouncing IIS, recycling the pool, but nothing worked.
I've searched the forums but haven't found anything about this error. Sorry if I'm repeating a topic.
Couldtheproblembe that I'musing Vista FTP from Windows Explorer?
Didn't you guys used to have a way to delete files and folders from your control panel? I've been using you guys for a while under various logins.
Thanks for any help
