New hosting, can't log in to ftp account

Hi, i've just signed up, and am attempting to log in to my ftp account using the alternative ftp address specified on the account info page. However, i'm receiving a 'User cannot log in' message.

Is there a minimum amount of time after setting my account up i need to wait before ftp will become available?

ftp address: ftp.revenantgui.eweb701.discountasp.net
username: 0083611
password: same as i used to log in to my control panel account with

Your FTP username is incorrect. Check the control panel account info section. The FTP username is not just digits - it should include digits, the pipe sign, and the control panel username.

Ah ok my bad, i assumed the pipe symbol indicated it was either one or the other
