Hi I am trying to change MX record for my mail server which is now hosted on MS exchange. Discountasp.net's DNS manager screen provides the facility to change the MX record. I adding MX record it gives you option to enter following fields Domain Name, Destination (place where my exchange server is hosted), distance and TTL. I have all the information except domain name which i left blank and it got defaulted to my domain name. It has been close to 18 hours and still i am getting the following message when i send the email from outside
Relay access denied
Remote-MTA: 198.77.13.239
Any idea why?

If you're encountering a relaying error from the server at 198.77.13.239, the most common reason for the error is due to SMTP authentication.
You may want to double check the credentials being submitted just to make sure that everything's correct.

relay denied has nothing to do w/ the MX record. Is 198.77.13.239 the correct IP of your server?
