Please help me uploading my vBulletin. I am new to this world.

I've uploaded my vBulletin but I could not use it and the following
is what I've got:
Attempting to attach to database...

The database has failed to connect because you do not have permission
to connect to the server. Please go back to the last step and ensure
that you have entered all your login details correctly.

PHP Warning: mysql_pconnect(): Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10061) in E:\web\compuhcomsa\htdocs\vb\admin\db_mysql.php on
line 38 PHP Warning: mysql_select_db(): supplied argument is not a
valid MySQL-Link resource in
E:\web\compuhcomsa\htdocs\vb\admin\db_mysql.php on line 47

I've contacted the technical support and they advised me the following:
"It looks like your php script is trying to connect to an invalid
database, localhost is definitely not right because the mySQL server is not on the same server as the web server."

Appreciate your kindness and help

Have not had much experience w/ vBulletin. However most web application should contain a config file. Look for that file and change the mySQL server name to the mysql sever name we sent you (you can also find this info in the mySQL manager in the control panel).
