ASPNETDB security database

I'm looking to host a small site that would use a SQL2005 database for data (attached to SQL) and the ASPNETDB database for security (located in App_Data folder).

Would I have to purchase a SQL addon for the ASPNETDB mdf file, or is the addon only for attached databases?
