Would it be possible to append the date (and possibly the time) that the backup was made to the current backup name. This would allow users to make backups without the additional aggravation of having to copy and rename previous backups everytime they do a backup or just overwriting the previous backup. I would have thought this would be fairly easy? Thanks Will
Currently our SQL Management Tool does not do that. I'll ask our developers about it and will reply back to this forum for the update.
...There is an easy way to rename the backup without downloading it. I have used that free File manager we recommend to customers here. It requires you to login, from a browser, but once you do you can rename the backups. http://www.gleamtech.com/products/webexplorer/asp-file-manager
