I have decided to take hosting from discountASP but before that I have few doubts that I want to clear:

1) I have noticed some sites hosted on discountASP do not open without www , eg: abc.com , is it so?

2) My website application is almost ready but before I put it live on my domain I want to test it online and update the contents and then put it live on my main domain url so can I create a sub folder eg: abc.com/beta and upload the application/database & later on move the same data to my main URL (abc.com) after the content has been updated in each section of my website. The site has been developed by a development company so I am not that much tech about asp.net & hosting.

3) Can I use google apps for my email rather then default discountasp mailbox.

4) If I have opted for yearly billing for hosting but wish to go for monthly billing for SQL databases, is that possible?

5) Can I pay discountASP through BANK / WIRE transfer from India?

Hi,
1) No. I've tested that here and all of my domains work with and without the WWW.

2) Your Alternate URL, assigned to your account, can be used from the very beginning and at anytime in the future, it is very handy for that sort of thing.
As an example, the Webcasts on the IIS7 Test Server can be accessed via:
http://iis7testcom.web701.discountasp.net/webcasts/
or
http://iis7test.com/webcasts/

3) I do that now but not instead of my mail here, with it, using the Outlook Connector, which works very well with Hotmail and Google mail to and from the Smarter Mail here.

4) There is no monthly billing at this time.

5) Not sure, you should contact Support directly with that question.

Yes. You can update the MX to point to Google.
