Hi,

I downloaded Microsoft's SQL Web Database Administrator and I'm having a major problem "administrating" anything. After some significant time, I connect to the server, but when I try to do anything other than connect (add a table, etc...), it times out.

Is there a better tool available for free that will solve this problem or is the problem inherent of shared SQL server hosting?

Any help would be appreciated!

Mike

I tested the SQL Web Data Administrator and it is quite slow when connecting to the database, especially if there's a lot of database and/or tables. The solution for the timeout issue, as others have suggested, is to set the Request.Timeout in the web.config.
