I've been a customer on and off for DASP over the years and I can't remember - is there any issue with using an offsite mysql database? I've already got linux servers elsewhere so databases are not an issue. Trying to avoid paying extra for mssql.
Thanks.

Yea, you shouldn't have any problems connecting to MySQL, as the ports are open for this service.

Thanks a ton. Will save me some bling for now. I know I have to open the port based on IP on my end. I'll get that later.

Yea, you might have to contact support to figure out what IP to whitelist, as the outgoing IP may differ from the server IP.
