Hi, We want to move our main site (www.hubse.com) over to wordpress. Our current main page is performing fine, but our Wordpress test site (www.hubse.com/dev) is slow to load pages. e.g. the GET on www.hubse.com/dev is taking over 4 seconds. Our site is hosted in the UK datacenter, is there anything that can be investigated, e.g. I don't know if its the database (mySQL) that is slow or its the php processing on IIS?
Or it could be your site and the way it was built. Did you try out the Google's Developer page speed insight tool? https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/ Take a look at your results here: https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=http://www.hubse.com/dev/ It's providing you with different things you can do to optimize your site.
Thanks, that's a useful tool. I've made some of the recommended changes, and have improved the "score" on that page The only red item left is "reduce server response time" which brings me back to wondering if its CPU bound or IO bound into the mySQL DB?
