If I install Wordpress with my existing account will this damage any of my existing database files? Or existing website?
If you're using the App Installer in Control Panel the AppPath will default to /wordpress, so unless you already have a folder named wordpress you should be fine (you can also change that AppPath to anything you'd like). It's important to note that if you do change that AppPath to a folder with existing files, those existing files will be deleted. The App Installer will also write the WordPress tables to an existing MySQL database, which, again, isn't a problem unless you already have WordPress tables in the database.
