Secure Email POP3 & SMTP

Discussion in 'Suggestions and Feedback' started by void, Jun 20, 2005.

  1. First of all I want to thank you for your excelent services.
Yet I have one missing email service that is often avaibale even with free email services (like gmail).

I talk about secure email messaging.
It does not seem to be very difficult to enable secure email POP3 and SMTP protocols using "Secure to dedicated port" (TSL) connection. Isn't it?

    Thanks.

thank you for your suggestion. i'll forward this to our email engineer.

  3. Also, I want to add thatTSL/SSL can also solve the problem when port 25 is blocked by ISP, because it uses 995 for POP3 and 465 for SMTP.

we are working on a new mail server now. i do not have a definitive timeline but we are shooting for end of the year.

understand that email system get substantially more complicated when you have a lot of domains.

  8. thanks, now you made it clear to me.

we probably will not have this feature available until sometime next year.

we are working to get the new mail server in place before adding all these new features.

  11. Any update on when secure imap access might be available? Thanks.

  12. We will discuss adding this project into our pipeline after our new mail system is completed.
