Email account set to forward and delete is filling up

  1. I got some warning emails about an email account has reached its quota. I logged on to smartermail as that account and sure enough, it is filled. All email coming into this account is set to forward to a few destination emails and also set to delete the emails, so there should be no emails at all in the account.

    I manually deleted several, I could not find a good mass-delete. I then also had to delete them from the deleted folder.

    At this poing, the mailbox is OK.

    Well that's odd. It should delete the message on forward just as along as you set up the rule correctly on SmarterMail. If we want me to take a look at your email user just PM your email user and I'll take a look.

    BTW you might find our knowledge base article How to automatically clean out email folders helpful ;)
     
  3. I PM'd you to review. Also, I used the above article link to set up an auto-clean on the inbox for 30-day old emails.
