Feature request: Dynamic IP Restrictions

Discussion in 'Windows / IIS' started by Sire, Oct 19, 2010.

  1. Hello!
Any plans to add Dynamic IP Restrictions to IIS?

It's a great way to stop brute force attacks, spam bots, web scrapers and other malicious activity. You can for example temporarily block an IP for 1 hour after doing 20 requests in 2 seconds.

  2. It would look like a good option when it's out of beta. Normally we don't install beta software, so it'd be good to keep an eye on. I can see many good uses out of this if it's done correctly

I've been watching this for a while and it seems like MSFT has abandon it. The beta was released in Feb 2009 (more than 1 1/2 years without any update).
