  1. I have several sites that use asp.net 1.1 and ms sql 2000. I just opened a new site and found that ms sql 2000 is not available. Two questions:

    (1) Should I choose ms sql 2005 or 2008, and why? (I would like to minimize transition time.)

    (2) Will I still be able to use asp.net 1.1 with either sql or must I go to asp.net 2.0?

    1) SQL 2008. SQL 2k5 / 2k8 are not much of a difference. Most database working on SQL 2k5 should also work on 2k8.

    2) Yes. You can still use asp.net 1.1 but I highly recommend you go to 2.0. 1.1 is kinda old and MSFT will probably deprecate it in the near future.
