Hi All, I have added SSRS 2005 service to my account today and uploaded the reports to the server. I am able to get to the reports by hitting the report server URL but when I try to access them from within my application which hosts a report viewer control, I am getting the following errors: The attempt to connect to the report server failed. Check your connection information and that the report server is a compatible version. I did verify the report server URL, username and password and report path are all correct. I've seen on some other forums that it could be the configuration issues on the server. Has anyone else experienced the same problems with SSRS on discountasp? Thanks! Dmitry
I just resolve my own issue by double checking all of the variables involved and of course I had the wrong ReportServerURL. I did not include /ReportServer at the end. The report server URL listed in the DASP control panel says: https://rs2k501.discountasp.net and that is what I initially had. I then found a very useful post by Bruce (http://community.discountasp.net/showthread.php?t=4402) where I saw that the URL must end with /ReportServer and that fixed the problem. Hopefully someone else will find this useful. Cheers.
