Why does Sandbox have to end Jan 31?

    Why must the Sandbox end Jan 31? Why not keept it alive until .Net 4 is released?

    That end date was agreed on by Microsoft and our team.

    This is not something we can guarantee but we will do our very best to make .NET 4.0 available on the production platform as soon as it releases.

    We haven't seen the RC or RTM so we cannot say what we will do yet. Before this latest announcement, we were planning on adopting .NET 4 as quickly as possible when it was officially released on March 22, 2010.
