Windows 2008/IIS 7 web server update (URL Rewrite module)

We will be updating the URL Rewrite module on all Windows 2008/IIS 7 web servers. The update is scheduled for:
Wednesday, March 24, 2010
Between 9:00 PM and 2:00 AM Pacific time

During this time frame, the Windows 2008/IIS 7 web servers will be offline for approximately 10 minutes.
  • Microsoft has indicated that URL Rewrite 2.0 is backward compatible with previous versions, but please note that we are unable to perform comprehensive testing for all possible backward compatibility issues, so be sure to test any new changes in your development environment before deploying changes to your live site.

  • All new features of URL Rewrite 2.0 will be available with the exception of Custom rewrite providers. Custom rewrite providers stores rewrite or redirect mappings on the server rather than within your site files, so unfortunately the feature will not be available.

  • This update will require a new download when you log in to your site using IIS Manager.
