We send out a weekly newsletter on our other site using PHPList. Anyone had an issue using it on DASP servers? Any other free alternatives as recommendations? Our current list is about 2,600 subscribers. Thanks, Scott
You're slightly over their 2,000 subscriber limit for a free account, but you might want to look at MailChimp. Their pay plans are a bit lower priced than someone like Constant Contact. Though Constant Contact is good too. If phpList dumps all of those outgoing messages into the queue at once, yes, you'll have a problem because we only allow 1,000 outgoing messages per hour. Maybe you can set it up to stagger the mailing?
I should also include these limitations: 40 recipients per single email message (This includes the To, CC, and BCC lines) 5000 emails per account per 24 hours 1000 emails per account per hour
