Can one use JetBrain's DotTrace Performance V5.3 Profile tool on DiscountASP Servers?

    Hi,

    I am using DotTrace Performance Pro 5.3 to measure bottlenecks on MVC3 .Net 4 applications. It has a new connect to remote process over HTTP feature. Is it possible to use it this measure sites hosted on DiscountASP server?

    I do not think this is possible since DotTrace requires a remote console agent to run called RemoteAgent.exe and it seems to me that I would need to be able to RDP into a server to do this, and with shared hosting this is not possible.

    You're correct. We do not allow our users to RDP into the web server because we're a shared hosting company.
